We're feeling Japanese today so we're back with a Japanese restaurant today! We visited Omoté, a Japanese-fusion restaurant along Upper Thomson Road. Omoté has gone through several revamps recently and we are here to taste their improved selections.

Sanshoku Omoté-Chirashi Don

A bowl of Japanese short-grained rice served under a array of spicy salmon tartare, salmon sashimi and diced seafood

This delicious bowl was nicely presented with generous portions of seafood and rice. Certainly felt like being out at sea consuming the seafood as soon as it's caught from the sea. You can even choose to upsize to their Mount Chirashi Don, which is undeniably a bang for your buck!

Garlic Yakiniku Don

Served with a stir fried sukiyaki cuts and a poached egg

Presentation wise, the bowl was sticky at some sides. Based on taste, the beef was nicely cooked, poached egg was spot on. Garlic was too moist to be called toasted; it was probably left out for too long. Nothing mind blowing but a good effort.

Salmon Belly Don

Salmon Belly Don was nicely presented, fish tasted really fresh and the Japanese rice was spot on. Guess there's not much to say about a Salmon Belly Don?
